Today we bow our heads in remembrance of both scientist Stephen Hawking and quiz and comedy legend Jim Bowen.
Stephen Hawking, who once held a party for time travellers and sent out the invitations after the event to prove that time travel isn’t possible, died peacefully at his Cambridge home at the age of 76. In 1963 Professor Hawking was given a 2 years to live and then spent over half a century teaching the universe how it worked.
Mick, unfortunately, gets nothing as Ken Dodd died earlier in the week and took the pot!
Jim Bowen started his comedy career after enjoying Ken Dodd on stage in Blackpool after he became disillusioned by his career as a school teached and found fame on various TV Shows before he took on the TV quiz show Bullseye, which ran from 1981 until it’s original run finished in 1995. He died at the age of 80 at home very peacefully with his wife Phyllis at his side
Teresa also misses out on the pot after Ken Dodd’s death.
Super, Smashing, Great.
